Fall is a great time for experimentation in one’s wardrobe. It is less hot, so there are prime opportunities to wear more pieces using creative layered combinations and accessories. Prints and patterns also provide ways to broaden one’s palette. While fall and winter can often find many looking toward darker hues and autumnal colors. Other more vibrant hues offer a visually stimulating alternative or can be paired with the colors one usually turns to this time of year.

At Alice + Olivia, the collection, as displayed on VogueRunway.com, consists of hues such as lime green, cerulean blue, canary yellow, and poppy red. There are several combinations to pull from the lead of this brand, as seen in the looks of the second image, which include lime green, canary yellow, poppy red or cerulean blue, and lime green.

Matty Bovan also incorporated fun hues within his lineup. These colors included poppy red, canary yellow, burnt orange, azure, and seafoam green. The last two examples made a bold pairing, as seen in look 17 of the brand’s collection, as seen on WWD.com.

Bibhu Mohapatra, this season offers hues such as burnt orange, emerald-greenscarlet redlapis lazuli, and cyan. Two notable combinations from this collection are looks 1 and 24, as displayed on VogueRunway.com. The first example features scarlet red and cyan, with small amounts of yellow gold and poppy red. Look 24 consists of burnt orange and emerald green, with accent details in poppy red and azure.

Look 1, by Apiece Apart, as displayed on VogueRunway.com, features a combination of brick red and azure paired with a plaid coat. The example demonstrates the strategy of breaking up bold colors using understated prints and patterns. The other hues to explore from this collection include Kelly green and French plum

Kenzo’s collection, as seen on WWD.com, this season includes a plethora of eye-catching hues including rust orange, poppy red, a middle shade of grass green, canary yellow, a deeper hue of lapis lazuli, and more. One pairing that pops and makes an impression is rust orange and grass green is from look 20. The separation between the dress and shoes within this look creates a noticeable, but appealing contrast.

These are just a few colors and combinations to explore this Fall. These examples demonstrate that dressing for the season can go beyond neutrals or autumnal colors alone. Play with different portions of each color and find out what mixture works best for your look, and wardrobe. You can find these colors in handbags, jewelry, shoes, clothing, makeup, and other accessories. The runway examples and local products provided below can serve as inspiration for ways to incorporate these hues into your attire this season.
