3 TikTok Makeup Filters That’ll Elevate Your Makeup Game

By: Adlyn Ogude

I feel like makeup divides people into two camps. For Camp A people, figuring out their makeup routine is fun. Like, really fun. For Camp B, on the other hand, it’s pretty stressful trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

I go back and forth, but recently I found myself falling into Camp B.

And these 3 Tiktok filters I’m about to share with you literally saved me.

Make no mistake, this is the ultimate TikTok Makeup Hack.

Today I'm going to share with you 3 amazing TikTok filters that will revolutionize your entire makeup routine and a step-by-step guide on exactly how to use them!

3 Amazing Tiktok Makeup Filters That Will Change Your Makeup Routine:

TikTok Filter #1: MyFaceShape

Your face shape is such an important key to your overall look. It determines which hairstyles look best on you, where you should apply blush and bronzer, and more.

But it can be so difficult to look at ourselves objectively to figure out what our face shape actually is. Nine times out of a solid ten, it's just not as simple as looking in the mirror.

But we don't have any other options right?

Wrong!

That might have been true a few years ago, but definitely not anymore.

Grace M. Choi created a revolutionary TikTok filter that helps you figure out exactly what your face shape is.

How to Use The “MyFaceShape” Filter

The face shape filter includes outlines for a round face, a square-shaped face, a diamond-shaped face, an oval-shaped face, a heart-shaped face, a triangle-shaped face, an inverted triangle-shaped face, a rectangle-shaped face, and an extended oval face shape.

That's a lot of shapes! Am I right?

When you use the filter, the outlines of the different face shapes appear around your face.

All you need to do to determine your face shape using this filter is compare the outlines that appear around your face to the actual shape of your face.

Just cycle through them until you find the face shape that fits you the most.

Congrats! Now you’ve found your face shape. And if you thought that was easy, the next filter will absolutely blow your mind.

TikTok Filter #2: Eyebrows

Drawing on your eyebrows can be such a difficult task. You have to somehow manage to figure out and remember the perfect spots where your eyebrows should begin and end and where your eyebrow arch should be.

And it would be one thing if the perfect spots were the same for everybody, but they're not. We all have different faces, and there's just no getting around that.

Or is there?

How to Use The “Eyebrows” Filter

Luckily for us, Grace M. Choi delivered yet another game-changing filter simply titled “Eyebrows”.

This filter uses the concept of the golden ratio to figure out the perfect eyebrow placement for your specific face. If you thought using the first filter was easy, this will be even easier. All you need to do is look into the camera and your perfect eyebrow placements will appear.

Mark the perfect spots for the arch, the beginning, and the end of your eyebrow shape that the filter shows you. Then, draw in your eyebrows. And just like that, you’re done!

If you need to trim away a couple of eyebrow hairs to be able to follow the shape that the filter shows to you, trust me - it's worth it.

I haven't seen this filter fail anyone yet!

TikTok Filter #3: Match Stix Snatch Filter

Applying primer is easy. Applying foundation and tinted moisturizer is even easier.

But you know it's not easy? Contouring. In theory, it should be just as simple, but it's actually a lot harder than you would expect.

Primer, foundation, and tinted moisturizer can all be applied pretty indiscriminately. But contouring doesn't give you the same leeway.

If you don't apply it even a little precisely, your entire makeup look will get thrown off. And it's incredibly hard to fix a contouring mistake.

How to Use The “Match Stix Snatch” Filter

Grace M. Choi decided to give us the filter that would help us apply our makeup from start to finish! First, pick your face shape. After you pick your face shape, apply makeup according to the lines the filter projects on your face.

The dark pink lines show you where to contour, the tan spots show you where to highlight, and the light pink spots show you where to apply blush.

My favorite thing about this filter is that it takes what should be around a 20-minute application process and cuts that time in half. You don't need to waste time thinking about where your makeup should go and what would look best for your face shape. All of that stress is taken away immediately.

And there you have it! Those are the 3 Magic Tiktok Makeup Filters that will take your makeup game to a whole new level!

Play around with them to see what new makeup looks you can come up with!

And this goes without saying - these tools are meant to make makeup application more fun!

Even if these TikTok makeup filters don't give you your new everyday look, you don't have to apply your makeup exactly the way the filters tell you to. Using them can inspire you to come up with a new look that’s all your own!

Have fun!
